Russian troops are trying to hold the temporarily seized territories and disrupt the Ukrainian Defence Forces' advance. They also continue to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said.
Over the day, Russian troops carried out six missile and seven air strikes and carried out more than 23 attacks with MLRS. Facilities and civilians in more than 25 settlements suffered from enemy strikes. Among them are Zaporizhzhya, Shepetivka, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Olhivske and Hoptivka.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Soledar, Bakhmutske, Yakovlivka, Odradivka, Zaytseve, Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Pobeda, Vodyane and Lyubomyryivka.
Ukrainian aviation conducted 11 strikes on Russian positions. The destruction of one stronghold, five clusters of weapons and military equipment, as well as five enemy anti-aircraft missile systems was confirmed.
In addition, air defence units shot down five enemy UAVs, including two Shahed-136 and one Mohajer-6.
Moreover, missile troops and artillery struck 19 clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment, two ammunition depots and six artillery pieces.
