As of 6 October, there were no drastic changes on the frontline. The most difficult situation remains in the East. Russia does not give up its intentions to reach the state border of Donetsk Region, to halt the final liberation of Kharkiv Region, and is trying to keep the seized areas of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya and Mykolayiv Regions, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksiy Hromov, announced at a briefing.
Since 30 September, the Defence Forces have had 168 clashes with the enemy.
The situation is stable and controlled in Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Sumy Regions. In Chernihiv, the positions of our troops are under fire from the territory of the russian federation. Civilian infrastructure is also suffering. In particular, Hremyach was shelled. During the week the enemy did not use aviation in this area.
In Kharkiv Region in the area of Kupyansk - Svatove the enemy is trying to conduct deterrent actions to stop the offensive of the defenders. There were attacks near Kharkiv, Dvorichne, Shevchenkove and others, as well as attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Since 21 September, the UAF managed to advance 55 km deep into the enemy's defences, establish control over 93 settlements, and take control over 2,400 square kilometers of Slobozhanshchyna.
In the Kramatorsk area, the occupiers tried to advance towards Bohorodivka and Spirne. They struck at Kramatorsk and Siversk with missiles.
In the Bakhmut area, the enemy is trying to displace our troops. The defenders are heroically holding back the russian offensive. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut.
At the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka areas, the enemy also conducted assault actions, struck at Maryinka, Vodiane and other settlements.
In the Zaporizhzhya area, Ukrainian troops forced the enemy to abandon the offensive, but the russians do not stop striking near Novopillia and other localities.
In the Kherson area, the enemy is trying to counterattack at the expense of reserves to restore the lost position. Since 1 October, 29 settlements have been taken under control.
The enemy struck at Kherson, Mykolaiv and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. Since September 30, the occupants have used 20 missiles of various types, including 13 ballistic missiles, and Shaheds. Last night, the UAF destroyed nine out of 12 kamikaze drones. Overall, the russians used 86 of them, and 60% were destroyed by the defenders. The threat of drone strikes remains.
