The Foreign Ministry is negotiating with international partners on the supply of energy equipment to help overcome the consequences of Russia's terrorist strikes on life support systems. So far, Italy, France, Lithuania, Finland, Germany and Poland have agreed to help, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said.

According to the ministry, the first of about 600 units of equipment will arrive in Ukraine next week.

Ukraine has sent requests for appropriate assistance through NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. It has also appealed to international organizations and companies ENEDIS, EDF, SER, Electriciens Sans Frontiers, Total Energies, Energy Electrabel, SPUE S.A., CIDCA, RARS, MSB, AIDA, USAID, UKAID, CIDA, ISRAID for the supply of energy equipment.

"The Foreign Ministry has received a list of needs from the Interior Ministry, the Energy Ministry and other authorities and contacted partners. We have already received the first positive responses about the readiness to provide the necessary equipment as soon as possible," said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

According to him, the needs include generators, their components and spare parts, as well as equipment for the gas transmission system.

The ministry noted that a stable supply of the relevant equipment will help ensure the smooth functioning of Ukrainian households, hospitals and schools in case of damage to critical energy infrastructure or emergency power outages.

The Russian Federation has already carried out about 300 strikes on the energy system of Ukraine.
