This autumn, 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen will undergo training in the UK, the Telegram channel UAF Operatyvnyy informs.
The Ukrainian military are trained by about 70 Norwegian instructors, who come from the so-called Rapid Response Forces, from the mechanized battalion Telemark of the Nord brigade of the Norwegian Army Land Forces.
The entire Norwegian component and the Norwegian effort, which is part of a larger operation called Interflex and is implemented under the UK initiative, is led by the Norwegian National Guard.
The goal is to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian defence and contribute to the development of the armed forces. This autumn, 10,000 soldiers will be trained. Another 19,000 are to be trained next year. Then instructors from the Norwegian National Guard will also take over the Norwegian part of the training.
