Ships from Ukrainian ports loaded with grain will sail under the flag of Turkey, Minister of National Defence of Turkey Hulusi Akar has said, as quoted by the ministry's press service.

"Ships that have left Ukrainian ports and are sailing the sea continue their journey. There are no problems with the departure of vessels flying the flag of Turkey. They will continue to leave. We assess the available data that this agreement will be extended," Akar said.

He added that Russia continues negotiations with the UN on the export of Russian grain and fertilizers and stressed that Turkey is ready to contribute to solving this problem.

Ukraine, Turkey and the UN agreed not to plan the traffic of ships with grain on 2 November. To date, the parties have agreed on the transit of 16 vessels with food products, despite Russia's statements about "withdrawal" from the agreement.
