Tehran must realize that the consequences of complicity in the crimes of Russian aggression against Ukraine will outweigh the benefits of supporting Russia, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko has said on Facebook.

He was commenting on the statement of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, which admitted the transfer of drones to Russia.

"The Foreign Ministry headed by Dmytro Kuleba, as well as in close coordination with the Ukrainian agencies involved, will continue to take the most stringent measures to prevent Russia from using Iranian weapons to kill Ukrainians and destroy our critical infrastructure," Nikolenko said.

Iran for the first time acknowledged the provision of attack drones to Russia. However, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian claims that it happened "before the war in Ukraine".

US intelligence has information about the preparation of the sale of even more drones and Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called the possibility of additional Iranian arms sales to Russia quite real.

The use of Iranian UAVs against Ukrainians is confirmed by evidence, including that collected by Ukraine's international partners.
