Over the past day, Ukraine's defence forces shot down two Russian helicopters, two cruise missiles, 11 Shahed-136 UAVs and three tactical UAVs.

The Kalibr missiles were shot down at about 4 p.m. in the southern direction, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry said on Telegram with reference to the Air Force Command.

At night, two Russian Ka-52 attack helicopters were shot down in Kherson Region.

"Also, units of anti-aircraft missile troops and mobile firing groups destroyed 11 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones and three tactical UAVs. The forces and means of the Air Force Commands South, Centre, East and West were involved in the destruction of air targets," it noted.

Russia launched the Kalibr missiles despite the absence of missile carriers on duty in the Black Sea. It took the frigate to sea and launched the missiles, after which it returned to the base. The missiles were fired at Mykolayiv Region.
