Amazon and Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation for 2023. According to it, the company will provide Ukraine with another $ 75 million in support, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said on Telegram.
The head of the Digital Ministry stressed that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Amazon AWS has been one of the first to help maintain the country's digital infrastructure.
"The company has provided services worth millions of dollars to maintain about 100 state registries. This allowed the registers to work even during Russian shelling and emergency power outages, and Ukrainians to receive public services online," he said.
Currently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation continues to cooperate with Amazon in the field of cloud technologies. "Since the first days of the full-scale aggression, Diia has been storing a copy of the application's server system in AWS and backing it up daily.
"This makes Diia and the digital state as a whole more resilient. For cloud infrastructure cannot be destroyed by a missile," the Minister stressed.
Moreover, the company helps to train thousands of Ukrainians in IT specialities. More than 11 thousand Ukrainians have already joined the ITSkills4U program from Amazon AWS and Diia in a month.
Amazon stopped shipping goods to Russia and Belarus as early as back in March.
In July, the Ministry of Digital Transformation presented the Peace Award to the company that has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia.
