Ukraine has implemented the EU Association Agreement by more than 70%, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said at a government meeting.
"In record time for all states, we have completed the questionnaire for obtaining this status. We have already managed to implement the EU Association Agreement by more than 70%. Next year we expect to start negotiations on accession to the European Union," he said.
Shmyhal added that Ukraine's integration into the EU would open opportunities for business, strengthen institutions and stability of the state.
According to him, hundreds of regulations have been adopted to ensure that "our legislation fully complies with the European one".
"Hundreds more are being prepared for adoption next year. Our strategic task is to meet the accession criteria by the end of 2024," Shmyhal said.
