On the morning of 9 January, the Russian military launched a missile attack on the village of Shevchenkove, Kupyansk District, Kharkiv Region, the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov said on Telegram.
"In the village of Shevchenkove, Kupyansk District, a missile strike (preliminary from the S-300) on the local market was recorded," the statement said.
Update 10:40. Synehubov reported the death of a 60-year-old woman.
"All other victims were hospitalized. Doctors are providing them with assistance. Rescuers continue to clear the debris," he said.
According to the Regional Emergency Medical Centre, seven civilians were wounded as a result of the missile strike. Among them is a 13-year-old girl, Synehubov added.
