The majority of citizens of the European Union are in favour of continued support for Ukraine, according to the results of the Eurobarometer poll, writes Politico.
When asked whether the respondents approve of the EU's position on supporting Ukraine, 74% answered affirmatively, one third of them "strongly" approve.
73% of respondents agree with the EU's financial, military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as with sanctions against Russia.
EU support for Ukraine is more popular in the Scandinavian countries, the Netherlands, Ireland and Portugal, where it is approved by over 90%. On the other hand, less than half of respondents in Greece, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Cyprus said they approve of the EU's actions towards Ukraine.

The majority of respondents support the EU actions, despite the fact that they are aware of the negative consequences of the war on their daily lives, almost two-thirds of respondents believe that their lives will change because of the war in Ukraine.
Almost half (46%) say that their living standards have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by the war in Ukraine, which has led to a sharp rise in energy prices, contributing to skyrocketing inflation across the continent.
The survey conducted from 12 October to 7 November polled more than 26,000 people from all EU member states.
