The Cabinet of Ministers has supported the appointment of a new head of the Kyiv regional state administration, the government's representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk, has said on Telegram.
"The government has supported the draft presidential decree appointing Ruslan Kravchenko as the new head of the Kyiv regional state administration," he said.
As reported, on 24 January, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed the heads of Kyiv, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhya and Dnipro regional state administrations.
Ruslan Kravchenko is currently the head of the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office. He has been in charge since 15 March 2021.
Kravchenko was awarded the Order of Merit III class (23 August 2022) "for significant merits in strengthening Ukrainian statehood, courage and dedication in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, significant personal contribution to the development of various spheres of public life, defending the national interests of our country, and conscientious performance of professional duty".
Previously, he worked in the military prosecutor's office under the leadership of Anatoliy Matios.
This year, Kravchenko took part in the competition for the position of the head of the National Anticorruption Bureau, but failed to get selected.
He is married to Olena Shkrobanets, who is registered in occupied Crimea. The Kravchenko family has an 89-sqm apartment there. They also own a 2013 Mercedes C250. The total amount of their savings as of 2011 was $53,000.
The previous head of the administration was Oleksiy Kuleba. In January this year, he became deputy head of the presidential office.
