The information about the alleged "leak" of data from classified documents of Western allies is a typical game of Russian special services, an adviser to the head of the presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, has said on Twitter.

"The purpose of the 'leaks' of classified data is obvious: 1. to divert attention. 2. To sow doubts and mutual suspicions. 3. To drive a wedge... This is a standard game of Russian special services. You take open briefings, add fictitious information or certain elements of intercepts and publish them on social media, legalising the 'leak'," Podolyak said.

Classified military documents on US and NATO plans to build up the Ukrainian army ahead of the planned counteroffensive were published on social media this week. It was noted that this could be an attempt at disinformation by Moscow. However, the USA has launched an investigation to identify the source of the leaked information.

On Friday, 7 April, a new batch of classified documents appeared on social media, detailing US national security secrets ranging from Ukraine to the Middle East and China.
