Oleksandr Mamay has been dismissed from the post of mayor of Poltava pursuant to the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
"The HACC verdict of 02.03.2023 has entered into force, by which Poltava mayor O. Mamay was found guilty of organising the embezzlement of property through abuse of office, as well as organising the introduction of knowingly false information into official documents," the court's press service said.
It is noted that on 12 April 2023, the executive committee of the Poltava city council dismissed Mamay from his post and issued him a work record book with a corresponding entry in accordance with the requirements of the law.
According to the plea deal, Mamay transferred UAH 2 million to the United 24 Foundation for the Army of Drones joint project of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Special Communications Service and the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
