Today, on 8 May, the head of the Kyiv regional council, Natalya Hunko, was dismissed by 67 councillors' votes, the council's press service has said.
"Given that Natalya Hunko did not write a letter of resignation, a secret ballot was held, during which 67 out of 74 supported her resignation," it explained.
Among other things, Hunko was accused of ignoring the consideration of the draft decision "On hearing the report of the head of the Kyiv regional council for 2022".
She did not appear at today's plenary session, although the order to convene the session was signed by her.
First deputy head Yaroslav Dobryanskyy has been appointed the acting head of the Kyiv regional council.
On 21 April 2021, Natalya Hunko, a member of the Servant of the People party, was elected as the new head of the Kyiv regional council, with 58 members supporting her candidacy.
