Today, 31 May, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff during his visit to Odesa on 31 May.

According to the president's Telegram page, the meeting heard a report by Maj-Gen Eduard Moskalev, Commander of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, on the operational situation in his area of responsibility.

Ukrainian Navy Commander Oleksiy Neyizhpapa also made a presentation. He spoke about the protection of coastal infrastructure, the functioning of the grain deal and other important issues.

"Reports of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence. Reports from the commanders. Our forces have managed to stabilise the situation in Khortytsya, said Gen Syrskyy (Ground Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyy - ed.). Budanov's (Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kyrylo Budanov - ed.) and Malyuk's (Security Service of Ukraine chief Vasyl Malyuk - ed.) reports on the activities within their competence are important. There will be no details," Zelenskyy said.

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian soldiers repelled all Russian attacks in the area of Maryinka, Donetsk Region.
