The Ukrainian military is conducting offensive and defensive operations at the front. The military commanders are in good mood, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said at a press conference in Kyiv, RBC-Ukraine reports.
Answering a journalist's question whether Putin's statement about the start of a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was true, Zelenskyy said that counteroffensive operations were underway, but he would not say at what stage.
"It is interesting what Putin said about our counteroffensive. It is important that Russia feels that they do not have much time left, in my opinion. Counter-offensive and defensive actions are taking place in Ukraine. I will not say at what stage," he said.
The president noted that everyone will feel the counteroffensive actions of the Ukrainian military. He also stressed that one should not trust certain Telegram channels and the Russian dictator.
"I think we should trust our military. I trust them, I am in daily contact with our commanders, Syrskyy, Tarnavskyy, Moskalyov, Zaluzhnyy. Everyone is in good mood. Let Putin know as much," Zelensky added.
According to British intelligence, over the past 48 hours, significant Ukrainian operations have taken place in several areas in eastern and southern Ukraine.
In the Bakhmut sector, the Ukrainian military managed to advance up to 1,400 metres in different areas over the day.
