The area of flooded territories as a result of the Russians' blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in Kherson Region has almost halved down to 77.78 square kilometres, the regional military administration has said.

"The area of the flooded territories has almost halved: from 139 to 77.78 square kilometres. The flood level is 4.07 metres. During the past day, the water receded from three villages of Beryslav District - Mykolayivka, Lvove and Olhivka," it said.

On the right bank, 32 settlements remain flooded, with 3,821 residential buildings under water. In the temporarily occupied territories, 14 settlements are flooded.

According to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, five people died in Kherson Region as a result of the flooding caused by the Russians' explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, and one person died in Mykolayiv Region.
