President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of 11 June to impose personal sanctions on 178 Russian citizens.
The decree, published on the president's website, comes into force on the day of its publication.
The sanctions include the freezing of assets, complete cessation of trade operations, suspension of transit of resources, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine, suspension of economic and financial obligations, prohibition of transfer of technology and intellectual property rights, refusal to grant and cancellation of visas to residents of foreign countries, and other prohibitions on entry into the territory of Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry should inform the European Union and the United States of America of the sanctions and suggest that they introduce similar restrictive measures.
