Russian troops fired on a boat with civilians evacuating from the occupied left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region. As a result, three people were killed and 23 others were injured, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on Telegram.

Two law enforcers are among the victims.

"When the enemy opened fire, a 74-year-old man covered a woman with his own body. The Russians shot him in the back. He died of wounds, doctors did not have time to help him," Prokudin said.

As a result, three people were killed. At least 23 people were injured. The data is being updated," it said.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that as of 19:30 on 10 June, 2,678 people from Kherson Region had been evacuated. There are 29 residents still missing.
