Ukraine has returned 95 servicemen from Russian captivity. Among them are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and border guards. These are 93 privates and sergeants and two officers, the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, has said on Telegram.

"In particular, captives from Mariupol, Chornobyl, Serpent Island, near Bakhmut, as well as Azovstal defenders are going home to their families. We also managed to bring back the participants of the special operation who made helicopter sorties to besieged Mariupol to Azovstal," he said.

Yermak noted that many of the defenders were wounded.

"We continue to fulfil the task of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy 'to bring back everyone'. I am grateful to our team, the Coordination HQ for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, for their work 24/7. It will continue until the day when the last captured Ukrainian returns to Ukraine," he said.
