On Tuesday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a "meeting on the content of our policy of returning Crimea and its reintegration".

"It is obvious that after Crimea is liberated from occupation, economic opportunities, personal security for people, and a sense of real freedom, which has not been there since 2014, will return there. But all this should not be just abstract," Zelenskyy said in his evening video address.

He pointed out that every detail of the deoccupation of Crimea should be accompanied by specific content: how normal life returns, what exactly it means for Crimea and for all our people.

"This should be clear to everyone," Zelenskyy said.

"Step by step, we are making the deoccupation of Crimea more and more achievable and thoughtful," he added.

As previously reported, on 29 July, the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced a successful attack on the Chonhar Bridge. The bridge was closed, and kilometre-long queues formed in the area.

Volodymyr Saldo, the Russia-installed governor of the occupied part of Kherson Region, claimed that the Ukrainians tried to hit the bridge with Storm Shadow missiles.

Later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that they had hit the Chonhar and Henichesk road bridges, which are key logistics routes for the occupiers.
