The mayor of Moscow and the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation claim that the UAV allegedly shot down the air defence forces.

That night, Moscow was again attacked by a drone. According to Telegram channels, there was an explosion in the area of the Moscow-City business centre, the building of the Expo Center was damaged. At the same time, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation confirmed the UAV attack, but stated that it was shot down.

Russian Telegram channels claim that the explosion was near the towers of the Moscow-City business centre, and a few minutes before it, eyewitnesses saw a drone flying by. He fell on the roof of the Expocenter in the Moscow City district and pierced it. It is also noted that a collapse occurred in Pavilion 8 of the Expocenter on an area of 30 square meters.

At the same time, the mayor Moscow Sergey Sobyanin claims that the drone was allegedly shot down by air defence forces, and its debris fell in the area of the Expo center.

"Tonight, during an attempt to fly to Moscow, an UAV was destroyed by air defence forces. The debris of the UAV fell in the Expocenter area, the building was not seriously damaged. There were no casualties," he wrote in Telegram.

The Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation confirmed the attack on Moscow by a drone this night, the department also claims that the drone was allegedly shot down. It is noted that the drone tried to attack objects in Moscow and the Moscow region, but "after being hit by anti-aircraft missiles, it changed its flight path and fell on a non-residential building in the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment area of Moscow." The Ministry of Defence also stated that there were no fires or injuries as a result of its falling debris.

On the night of 1 August, Moscow was attacked by drones. One UAV hit the Moscow-City business center, the facade of the building on the 21st floor was damaged. The mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that the attack was repelled.

On the night of 30 July, the Russian Federation reported on a night attack by "Ukrainian drones". Damage was recorded in Moscow-City. According to Mayor Sobyanin, the drone attack was repelled, and there were no casualties. However, the Russian publication TASS reported that a security guard was injured.
