The head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, said that the two Russian Ka-52 helicopters that were shot down today could not fly without foreign components.

"Our specialists have been studying the Ka-52 for a long time. We know that this rotorcraft contains high-tech components from Western countries and Asian countries. In particular, chips, microprocessors, integrated circuits, receivers, flash memory, telecommunication transformers, transceivers, linear stabilisers, microchips, without which its work would be impossible as Russia is not capable of producing such technological products," Yermak said.

According to him, Ukraine is looking for the ways Russia obtains these components to bypass sanctions, and is working with the Governments of countries and manufacturing companies to limit the Russian military-industrial complex.

In particular, the McFaul-Yermak group has already provided this information to partners.

“We need more sanctions, so a document with additional proposals will be published soon. Sanctions against the Russian Federation should be strengthened. The Russian military-industrial complex should not have access to technologies. Shooting down a Ka-52 is great. But it is much better to deprive Russia of the opportunity to produce it," the head of the President's Office concluded.

This morning the Defence Forces eliminated Russian Ka-52 helicopter in the Bakhmut direction. It was destroyed by the Air Forces. Later it became known that in Zaporizhzhya the Armed Forces destroyed another Ka-52 Alligator. The price of one helicopter is 16mn dollars.

Earlier, Yermak reported that Ukraine will work with partners to strengthen sanctions that will affect the production of Russian drones, particularly on the Lancet and Orlan.
