The French have decided to triple the production and supply of ammunition for Ukraine. Ambassador of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko said this in an interview with LB.ua.
"If we talk about the strategic issues we are currently negotiating with France, these are long-range missiles and air defence systems. Another urgent need is spare parts, because everything we have been supplied with is currently used and wears out. We are already working with France to solve this problem. At the same time, the permanent issue is the supply of 155-caliber ammunition," Omelchenko said.
He noted that France has committed to supply these shells in a certain order.
"Those who produce them are now working 24/7, specialised French enterprises have switched to an emergency working mode. And there is good news: the French have decided to triple the production and delivery. This is very significant," the ambassador said.
Vadym Omelchenko also said that France will continue to supply Ukraine with long-range SCALP missiles. The ambassador noted that if you hear from Zelenskyy or Macron that France will provide weapons, you should know that they are already in Ukraine, at the front.
