Ukraine will continue to receive weapons, namely long-range ATACMS missiles, until it liberates all its territories, the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksiy Danilov, has said in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.
He stressed that this is a key issue in the talks between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States.
"This is not the first and not the last time we have received ATACMS missiles. We have an agreement with our partners that we will use them exclusively on the territory of our country, which is currently temporarily occupied by terrorists. We express our gratitude to our President for dealing directly with this issue. Every time Zelenskyy talks to the President of the United States, he raises the issue of long-range weapons," Danilov said.
He added that he is currently unable to answer at what distance they will be fired.
"I can say for sure that some people will have one place on fire after the next batches. And this will definitely continue until we liberate our territories. Weapons supplies will not stop until then," he said.
Ukraine's military used newly delivered US long-range ATACMS missiles against Russia for the first time on Tuesday after President Joe Biden overcame his long-standing reluctance to provide the weapons, allowing the Pentagon to secretly deliver them in the past few days. It is known that the US has provided 20 long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
