During a telephone conversation with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited a representative of Saudi Arabia to a meeting in Malta to discuss Ukraine's "Peace Formula".
"Thanked His Royal Highness for his personal efforts in organising a successful meeting on the Peace Formula in Jeddah. I invited a representative of Saudi Arabia to take part in the next round of talks in Malta and noted the important role of the Kingdom in preparing for the Global Peace Summit," Zelenskyy said.
The parties also discussed the situation in the Middle East, namely the prevention of further escalation of the conflict and civilian casualties.
Zelenskyy and the Emir of Qatar discussed the restoration of destroyed hospitals and the country's participation in the peace summit. During the conversation, the president noted the mediation role of Qatar in the return of illegally deported and forcibly displaced Ukrainian children.
