The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth €500 million, Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren said during a two-day visit to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports, citing the Dutch publication Het Parool.
"They need support to continue the fight. In this case, we are talking about ammunition. In this regard, we were able to offer Ukraine a new aid package," she said.
The minister noted that the assistance is expected to last until the middle of next year, and the total package will amount to about €500m. About €260m will be spent on artillery shells and €240m on ammunition for tanks.
Ollongren assured that the Netherlands will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine "as long as it takes".
