This year, Ukraine has not made much progress in fighting on the ground, but it has made progress at sea. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Fox News.
The President stressed that it is true that Ukraine has not had the expected results from the counter-offensive. However, the Defence Forces have repelled Russia in the Black Sea.
"We are standing firm, and it is difficult for us. We need more successful results on the battlefield, but we need them first and foremost. When we talk about the results on the battlefield, when we talk about reforms, we need it first, we, the Ukrainians. And only then, and I'm sorry to repeat this, is this message, but this is not a film. Magic does not happen every day. I see that we are successful in the Black Sea, in Crimea, we really destroyed most of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. We did it, we pushed them back, and they don't have that total influence in the Black Sea region," he said.
