After the Ukrainian Air Force shot down two Russian fighter jets in the Kherson sector on 22 December, Russian troops are not using guided bombs in the southern sector, the head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Defence Forces South, Natalya Humenyuk, has said, Radio Liberty reports.

"The enemy used tactical aviation very heavily, firing towards the line of contact, dropping guided bombs both on the settlements on the right bank and later on the bridgehead on the left bank. In total, we can say that more than 330 guided bombs were dropped from tactical aircraft in December alone," Humenyuk said.

Now, according to her, Russians are thinking about what to do and how to counteract.

"Since 22 December, we have not recorded a single launch of guided aerial bombs in our area of responsibility. Not only on land but also in the Black Sea," she added.
