Today, 4 people were killed and 3 others wounded in the shelling of Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts of Donetsk Region. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, on 26 December at about 08:00, the occupiers fired artillery at the city of Toretsk. The explosions killed a 67-year-old woman in her own yard, and a 74-year-old man died on the roadway near a local hospital.
At the same time, the occupants attacked Pivnichne village of Toretsk, where a 73-year-old man was killed and a 62-year-old resident was wounded near a private house.
Two hours later, the Russian army shelled Avdiyivka. They hit a private house, killing a 61-year-old resident and trapping his 56-year-old wife in the rubble.
After the victim received emergency medical care, she was hospitalised with an open skull fracture and brain contusion, multiple shrapnel wounds to her body. The victim's condition is currently assessed as serious.
In addition, Russian troops attacked the village of Kostyantynivka in Pokrovsk district. A 61-year-old woman was killed in her house when a Russian shell fragment pierced her chest and abdomen.
Ukrainian civilians continue to suffer from Russian armed aggression. In particular, today at noon, occupation forces attacked Kherson Region, killing two civilians.
