Russian ruler Vladimir Putin has so far failed to involve the Belarusian army directly in the war in Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, has told the news telethon.
According to Yusov, Russia is also using Belarus to distract Ukrainian forces.
"Putin is using the Belarusian factor to distract Ukrainian forces, reserves, to create additional points of tension. However, Putin has not directly involved the Belarusian army in the war of aggression or ground operations against Ukraine, there is no such information," Yusov said.
He added that the situation is being monitored and studied.
