Explosions were heard in Kyiv Region during an air raid alert, including in the capital. This was reported by Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that two people were killed in the capital. There may be more people under the rubble of the high-rise building.

"More than ten people were injured in Kyiv, as of now, we know about two dead. There may be more people under the rubble. Some communications, including high-voltage cables, have been damaged in the capital. We are working to restore everything as soon as possible," he said.

As of 10:11 a.m., the number of injured increased to 13. 10 of them, including a pregnant woman, were hospitalised in Holosiyivskyy district.

"Three people were injured in Dniprovskyy district. Two of them were hospitalised, one was treated on the spot," the mayor said.

 There is damage to the power grid in both of these districts.

As a result, some customers in Dniprovskyy and Desnyanskyy districts - 19,400 customers in total - are without power. Healthcare facilities were left without power.

A high-rise building in Holosiyivskyy district was damaged, and a fire started on several floors.

At least six people were hospitalised from a high-rise building in Holosiyivskyy district. Among them is a pregnant woman. Emergency services are working at the site.

"Two more victims were hospitalised in Dniprovskyy district. One was treated on the spot," he said.

The KCMA clarified that missile fragments fell in Dniprovskyy district.

"Two high-voltage power lines in the capital were damaged by missile fragments as a result of the hostile attack. Some consumers on the left bank are currently without electricity," the mayor said in a statement.

Power engineers will inspect the equipment as soon as the security situation allows.

In addition, the fire and rescue service was called to Holosiyivskyy district, where, according to preliminary data, a building caught fire.

"A fire and rescue unit is on its way to the site. And in the Dniprovskyy district of the capital, there are currently two victims. Both were treated on the spot by medics," Klitschko wrote on Telegram at 18:19.

According to Klitschko, a service station caught fire in the area, and a high-rise building was also damaged.

"Cars and service station premises are on fire in Holosiyivskyy district. All services are at the site," he said.

The enemy attack also damaged a heating main on the left bank of the capital.

According to the KCMA, about 20 missiles were shot down over and near the capital during the alert.

 Russians used X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers. The air raid in the capital lasted almost three hours. The missiles hit the capital in several waves from different directions.
