Russian army attacks Donetsk Region with four missiles at night, killing one, wounding five

In just one day, Russians fired 15 times at localities in Donetsk Region. Administrative buildings and houses were damaged.

On the night of 28 February, the occupiers fired four ballistic missiles at Pokrovsk, said Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Military Administration. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Administrative buildings, educational institutions, apartment blocks and private houses were destroyed and damaged.

All relevant services, including the State Emergency Service, law enforcement, and utilities, are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. The local authorities are currently inspecting the damaged facilities. People whose homes were damaged will be provided with the necessary assistance.

Vadim Filashkin also reported on the operational situation in the Region as of the morning of 28 February.

Pokrovsk district. In the Ocheretynska community, two houses were destroyed in Zhelanne and one in Novoselivka Persha. Krasnohorivka and Kostyantynivka were shelled in the Maryinka community. In Kurakhove community, one person was killed and 5 injured in Hirnyk, a house in Kurakhivka and an agricultural enterprise in Ostrovske were damaged; the industrial area of Kurakhove was shelled. Pokrovsk suffered a missile attack that damaged three administrative buildings and 15 houses.

Kramatorsk district. In Illinivska community, 13 objects were damaged in Kleban-Byk. The neighbourhoods of Lyman and Kostyantynivka communities were shelled.

Bakhmut district. In Chasiv Yar community, 10 private houses were damaged. An infrastructure facility was damaged in Shcherbynivka of the Toretsk community. A house was damaged in Serebryanka of the Siverska community.

In just one day, Russians fired 15 times at the settlements of Donetsk Region. 6,603 people, including 452 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
