The Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lt-Gen Mykola Oleshchuk, confirmed that Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian Su-34 aircraft.
"Regarding the combat work reported an hour ago. The Air Command East confirms the downing of a Su-34 fighter-bomber. Unfortunately, only one," the Air Force Command said on Telegram.
Earlier, he said that the Air Force had attacked two Russian aircraft in the eastern direction.
