An IL-76 military transport aircraft has crashed in Ivanovo, Russia. This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
Thus, the Baza channel reports that the IL-76 crashed while landing. According to preliminary data, it crashed in a cemetery near the village of Bogorodskoye, not far from the airfield.
The aircraft was conducting a training flight, taking off from the Severnyy airfield, and stayed in the air for several minutes. During the turn, the engine caught fire.
The pilot tried to fly to the airfield but failed, and the plane crashed near the cemetery.
The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed the crash and reported that there were eight crew members and seven passengers on board.
