Russia shelled Kryvyy Rih on the evening of 12 March.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, a fire broke out in a high-rise building as a result of the attack.
"We are checking all the information. The threat persists. Air alert is on in the region. Stay safe," the head of the region said.
Later, Lysak reported two fatalities. There are also injured.
"More than 30 victims have already been admitted to hospitals in Kryvyy Rih. Five are in surgery. They are critically injured. There is a child among the wounded," said the head of the region.
Mayor Oleksandr Vilkul said that there were at least three hits as a result of the Russian missile attack.
"Including a direct hit on a nine-storey building. There are dead and wounded among civilians. The State Emergency Service is extinguishing the fires. The ambulance is working. The humanitarian centre is being set up in Skhidnyy-1 near ATB from 20.00. You can come there for accommodation, building materials to close the broken windows and any other issues," Vilkul said.
There was also a Russian missile that hit the roof of a five-storey building in Metalurhiynyy district. "The humanitarian centre is being set up at Narodnyy Dim, 52 Kryvorizhstal Street," the mayor added.
