In 2024, Ukraine should reach the maximum level of defence output, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening video address.
"There were reports from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Strategic Industries on contracts for the supply of weapons and shells both from partner countries and from domestic production. This year we should reach and will reach the maximum Ukrainian defence production since independence. And every year we will invariably add to this potential - this is an obvious strategic perspective of Ukraine," the head of state said.
He added that the government had also presented a report on the construction of fortifications. "All resources are provided," Zelenskyy said.
