The spokesman for the Ukrainian president confirmed that Volodymyr Zelenskyy had ordered the postponement of all international events scheduled for the coming days.
He also instructed to work out new dates for the events, Serhiy Nikiforov wrote on Facebook. The comment came amid media reports that Zelenskyy's visit to Spain and Portugal had been cancelled due to the situation on the battlefield.
"Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed to postpone all international events scheduled for the coming days and work out new dates. We are grateful to our partners for their understanding," the statement said.
Nikiforov added that today's presidential conference call was primarily about the situation in Kharkiv Region and the supply of the Defence Forces.
Zelenskyy heard a report from Chief of the General Staff Anatoliy Bargylevych.
"The commanders of the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard Service and the Chief of the Army, Oleksandr Syrskyy, are working on the spot, making all decisions based on comprehensive information. Additional forces are being deployed, reserves are available. The intelligence services - the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service - see all possible steps of the enemy. Oleksandr Syrskyy regularly reports to the President on the situation," the spokesman wrote.
