Kharkiv has been under attack by Russian terrorists all day. The air alert in the Kharkiv Region has been in place for over 12 hours, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said

"Guided bombs and missiles were launched at the ordinary buildings of Kharkiv, the ordinary civilian life of the city. A construction hypermarket burned to the ground, and firefighting is still underway. The central park and ordinary houses were hit. The exact number of people killed is still unknown. In total, almost 60 people have been injured in Kharkiv alone this day. Everyone is being provided with the necessary assistance," the president wrote.

He noted that nearly 200 rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and dozens of vehicles are involved in the aftermath of the terrorist attack. About 400 police officers are at the site. All emergency services are involved.

"I am grateful to everyone in the world who supports Ukraine, our Kharkiv and condemns Russian terror. It is important that we all stand together to ensure that Russian terror is overcome and that everyone responsible for these attacks is brought to justice. Everyone who supports us with air defence systems, everyone who supplies Ukraine with weapons to defend against Russian terrorists, everyone in the world who stands with us side by side and has no lack of determination is a real life saver," the President wrote.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba reacted to today's Russian strikes on Kharkiv and offered two ways for partners to prevent such attacks in the future. The Foreign Minister called for more air defence systems and permission to strike Russia.
