The Russian shelling of the Epicentre hypermarket in Kharkiv yesterday killed 16 people, including a 12-year-old girl and her mother.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synyehubov.
"Rescuers, police, prosecutors, doctors. All emergency services and law enforcement agencies have been trying to unblock and identify the bodies of those killed by Russian terrorists for two days," he said.
Ten people have already been identified, eight of them through DNA tests. Eight people are still missing. Rescuers have cleared about 30% of the rubble.
"We suspend work during air raid alerts. This is not the first time the occupier has used double-strike tactics," said the head of the RMA.
