Spain plans to send Patriot missiles and Leopard tanks to Ukraine as part of a €1.13 billion arms package announced in April, Reuters reports, citing El Pais.
Madrid will provide Kyiv with "a dozen important Patriot anti-aircraft missiles and 19 used German-made Leopard 2A4 tanks", as well as other Spanish-made weapons, including anti-missile equipment and ammunition.
The new arms deals will be announced today during the official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Madrid, where he will meet with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and King Felipe.
The cost of the package was approved by the Spanish government last month without specifying the weapons.
