On the night of 26 May, the Russians launched a missile and air strike against Ukraine using Kinzhal, X-101/X-555 and Shahed-type attack drones. The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 12 of the 14 missiles and 31 UAVs. This was reported by the Air Force.
In particular, the Russians used such means to attack Ukraine
- two X-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missiles from MiG-31K aircraft
- 12 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic aircraft
- 31 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, electronic warfare assets of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces shot down
- 12 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles;
- 31 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.
