On the night of 4 June, the Russian army fired two Iskander-K missiles from the territory of occupied Crimea at the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
Both missiles were shot down by anti-aircraft missile units within the Dnipropetrovsk Region. This was reported by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
"In addition, around midnight, the enemy used four unmanned aerial vehicles (type to be determined) in the northern sector. Two were destroyed by units of the mobile firing groups of the Defence Forces in Chernihiv Region, and two more self-destructed," he said.
The Iskander-K is a cruise missile that is difficult to detect because it can fly at very low altitudes, Defence Express explained. Such a missile has already been destroyed by Ukrainian air defence, in particular, during an attack on Kyiv Region last week.
