FPV drones actually protected the frontline while Ukraine was waiting for military assistance from its partners.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his evening video address on 4 June.
The Head of State noted that the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Strategic Industries had reported on the Ukrainian production and procurement of drones at the current meeting.
"This is something in which there should be a constant increase. In this war, our soldiers have proved that drones can give an advantage and regain the initiative. At a time when we were expecting artillery supplies from our partners, FPV drones actually saved the frontline," Zelenskyy said.
The President added that long-range drones "proved that Ukraine is able to limit the internal strength of the terrorist state," so "we must continue this. We will continue.”
Zelenskyy also stressed that the issue of drones is "a matter of personal responsibility of the leaders".
