US President Joe Biden voiced his vision of peace in an interview with TIME magazine, commenting on the war in Ukraine.

According to Biden, peace looks like a guarantee that ‘Russia will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever occupy Ukraine. That's what peace looks like. And it doesn't mean NATO,’ the US president said.

Biden said that Ukraine is already part of NATO. ‘It means that we have the same relationship with them as we do with other countries where we provide weapons to help them defend themselves in the future. But ... I was the one who said that I was not ready to support the NATOisation of Ukraine,’ the US president said.

The US leader added that when he was a senator and vice president, he noted the high level of corruption when visiting Ukraine and that it was ‘a circumstance that really weighed on everything’.

Biden stressed that if the partners ever let Ukraine fall in the confrontation with Russia, ‘you will see Poland go, and you will see all these states along Russia's actual border, from the Balkans to Belarus, all making their own adjustments.’

‘We (NATO - Ed.) are going to be on a slippery slope to war if we don't do something about Ukraine,’ the US president said.
