Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region have reported on their Facebook page that they have opened two criminal proceedings over the beating of a former serviceman in the regional centre.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of 20 June, when the 33-year-old man was walking in the centre of the city with his child. Unidentified men wearing balaclavas and camouflage attacked him, tried to handcuff him and started beating him. The perpetrators are charged with intentional infliction of light bodily harm and illegal deprivation of liberty.

The Kraken special unit confirmed on Telegram that the victim was their former employee. According to the network, it is Dmitry Pavlov with the call sign Son.

As for the attackers, according to social media, they are the bodyguards of MP Mykola Tyshchenko, who had a conflict with Pavlov. It is known for certain that Tyshchenko was indeed in Dnipro on Thursday.
