Germany, together with other European partners, will hand over a batch of Leopard 1A5 tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius announced this at a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence in the Ramstein format, Welt reports.
In particular, in addition to the transfer of 12 Panzerhaubitz 2000 self-propelled artillery systems worth €150 million, six of which will arrive in Ukraine by the end of the year, Germany, together with other European partners, wants to transfer 77 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks to the Ukrainian army as soon as possible.
