Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that Crimea should be returned to Ukraine's control.
His words are quoted by Anadolu Agency. Erdogan spoke during a video address to the participants of the 4th Crimean Platform Summit.
"Erdoğan: Turkey's support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence is unwavering. The return of Crimea to Ukraine is a requirement of international law," the agency said.
The Crimean Platform Summit is currently taking place in Kyiv. Western politicians, including Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil, President Gitanas Nausėda and Lithuanian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, arrived in Kyiv to participate in the Crimean Platform.
Two years ago, Erdoğan also said at the Crimean Platform summit that Crimea should return to Ukraine. Turkey considers the annexation of the peninsula unconstitutional and illegal.
