Six power engineers have been injured in a Russian strike on a substation in Sumy Region. They suffered explosive injuries, the Energy Ministry reported on Telegram.
The Russians damaged the substation building, which led to a power outage at the facility and household consumers. The power supply has now been restored.
‘All the victims were taken to hospital,’ the ministry said.
In addition to Sumy Region, the enemy attacked the energy sector in Chernihiv Region, and a shell was found on the territory of a substation in Dnipro Region.
In Sumy Region, 236,000 consumers were without power. After the power was restored, blackout schedules were introduced in this region and in Poltava.
In Kyiv Region, more than 1,500 customers were left without power due to technological disruptions. In Kharkiv region, 40,000 customers are without power, in Kherson - more than 10,000, and in the region - more than 1,100.
‘As a result of enemy shelling, 2,300 subscribers in 35 settlements remain without power,’ the ministry added.
